Half of them are definitely not their original titles.

Also half of them (not necessarily the same half) were never named by their 'starters'. They were nameless less-than-helpful tangents in other threads. So they were given a random name that was generally reflecting what the original out of place rant was about, e.g. "Capitalism = Freedom (In fact it is not even clear why we have two words for the same thing)".

"Give me Capitalism or give me death!" as someone famously said.

I went into the moderator edit thread function and copied the first name I saw in each thread history. I may have made an error at some point, but the intent is to provide as close to an unchanged original fixed title as possible. I know the names are less than ideal and that titles after thread splits are often less suitable than others.

The intent is to provide a fixed recognizable name for people having difficulty finding recent threads after title changes as a consequence of language difficulties or other unfamiliarities.

PS. People are welcome to add their own messages to this thread saying whatever they like that helps them find or remember their Soapbox threads of interest. If this index proves to be a bad idea or of little interest, then comments suggesting that it become unsticky and left to rot will be considered.

This thread currently the least views of any thread on the first page of Soapbox threads. Should the sticky setting be removed?

at least it has more replies than a lot of threads still this one will have 7 which when you sort the forum default pages by replies leads you to be at or higher than page 13 ( out of 18 on my system) even without a sticky. By views this still beats out 5 threads I think.
