I noticed that my computer is now being assigned double checks instead of regular assignments. I guess this means P4 processors aren't considered "fast" anymore. :\

well, considering that dual core are a pair of years old, and three or more cores are not very expensive, a PIV seems a bit "arthritic" for first time LL test, anyway they do a great work in TF or TF to lower limits.
I'm using a very old PIII 733 MHz for TF, spliting exponents assigned , eg. up to 2"61 run in the PIII and 2"62 to 2''67 in faster celerons!

Primenet shows the parameters it uses to select assignments:

To get a first-time check you need to be:
(P4@2000MHz or faster) -and- (CPU reliability > 70%)

I suspect one (or both) of the above conditions are not true.

Hi. I have read the conditions, but it is not clear to me, how is measured "CPU reliability" , is it measured as a relation between exponents assigned and errors reported, ??
