Default First holes 230-234k

Here are the first batch of holes at 230k. These all have an entry on Wolfgang's pages, but there is nothing beyond that. This means that they got to at least 80 digits, but beyond that nobody knows. I'll post these in batches of 5 to see how this works out. Start these from the beginning and run them up to at least 100 digits (anything above that depending on the driver/guide at 100 digits and your patience level).

Ive noticed that all of the numbers in Group #1 (i didnt check the other groups) have entries in Syd's database. So i grabbed those entries and am continuing from there.

Taking group 2. I'm not considering these high-priority, so 130396 will get more work.

D'ya call this a nice escape from 2*3, knocking off the 5 one line and the driver the next?

I'd like to just reserve 230916 (from group 3) for now if that's ok. I've been learning about this through the day and know about finding status and adding factors at Syd's database. I just have two questions.

So this means that it's known to continue until the numbers being factored are at least 80 digits, even though the info for those factors isn't in Syd's database?

So is this telling me to at least run it until the numbers being factored are 100 digits? Is there any idea how long something like that would take on average on an 2.5 GHz Athlon?

Sounds good. I'll mark that one off.

Yes on both counts. If you look at the "links" sticky, Wolfgang Creyaufm├╝ller was working on a project to extend all the "open ended" sequences from 80 to 100 digits. He has been out of contact since last September, and has not passed on any of these files, so we know that they were active at 80 digits and were in progress being extended to 100 digits, but nothing beyond that.

Correct, continue with these until the starting number on a line is 100 digits and you hit a large enough job you want to stop. As for how long, it really depends on how the factors break on each line. If everything factors with easy ECM jobs, very quickly; a lot of QS jobs, not so quick.

A quicker way to generate a sequence from scratch would be to grab aliqueit.exe from here and run it locally.....program compliments of our own mklasson.
