LLR benchmarks
I plan to buy a new computer sometime in the future and one aspect for me is how much money I have to spend for how much computing power, particularly for prime search.
Could you offer some benchmarks for LLR? For example the running time for megabit numbers on different systems. This would be a great help to assess various computers. |

NO mbit primes, but these are my stats at factory clock (2.4ghz) on a Q6600 with all cores in use;
777777*2^268650-1 is not prime. Time : 154.774 sec. 777777*2^268654-1 is not prime. Time : 154.821 sec. 777777*2^268657-1 is not prime. Time : 154.877 sec. 169*2^930029-1 is not prime. Time : 1024.461 sec. 187*2^930029-1 is not prime. Time : 1024.483 sec. 217*2^930029-1 is not prime. Time : 1023.932 sec. These are numbers from a AMD Sempron (1.8ghz). Note the difference in time. 777777*2^244720-1 is not prime. Time : 291.314 sec. 777777*2^244724-1 is not prime. Time : 289.005 sec. 777777*2^244730-1 is not prime. Time : 293.603 sec. |
