Default My mmff got clogged

Hi all,

Wouldn't you know it, only two days before the finish of a two month factoring run, the mmff program fails. I will try a few things.

Regards,
Matt

ok, the computer came back from the shop.

Hopefully my results.txt files are not lost.

I am unable to run mmff currently. The error I get is

cudart64_42_9.dll missing, try reinstalling file.

Any answers?

Regards,
Matt

If you don't tell us what has gone wrong with your computer nor what the shop did to mend it, it will be difficult to help. The only symptom you speak off, i.e. at least one .dll file is missing points towards hard disk problems. Did the shop replace the hard disk ? If yes reinstall mmff and hope that .dll file was the only file affected. If no prepare for more trouble : once a hard disk starts to show bad blocks in the OS, it means that it's internal bad block table is full and more and more bad blocks will appear.

Hi all,

The computer shop reinstalled Windows 7 Home Premium for me. I remember wrestling with .dll for mmff in the past. I will try to help myself.

Regards,
Matt

cudart64_42_9.dll is (I think) the 64-bit cuda dll from CUDA 4.2. If you download and install that, it should work.

I would run a virus scan on them, but you can get the dll itself from here: http://home.htp-tel.de/shornbostel/

Okay, my mmff is now unclogged.

I am running two jobs on my GeForce 690.
And in the middle of the summer, there is some heat.
