Ugh on 277^69. 165/165 with a factor 3. Ugly. Anything with a composite C<125 has a factor 3 and a very large percentage of C<128. Perhaps you can drop the 3 in one or more of them. All C<=125 have been fully ECM'd. As of late yesterday, I showed 15 sequences with a C120-C122; 8 more for C123-C124. One more thing: Base 720 is clearly the easiest one with 2 remaining now (153/140/319439 and 166/137/7). The large smallest factor on 720^58 should make it easy. You could almost think of it as 1 remaining due to the ease of one of them. Its 2 remaining may take less time than 277^69 by itself. That and the completion of base 257 are the only changes in the 1-2 remaining list since the last time it was posted. |

I am updating the page.
I have already finished adding all 17 new bases thanks to Karsten's new scripts which are real wonders. Almost everything is automated this time. Thanks a lot Karsten! I'm still waiting for an answer from him to update the old bases. I would also like to point out that the analysis programs are running at full speed. The work will be very long and will overflow well outside the summer. Indeed, I am also looking for points whose coordinates verify equations with two variables of the second degree. It takes my computer several days to process a prime number and I will process all the primes up to 300. I will give you more explanations on the other thread, because I should finish refining the parameters tomorrow or the day after. Everything was much more complex than I originally thought. But I finally got what I wanted. Thanks to all of you, the amount of data to process is really huge, and that must increase the probability of finding something ! |

My main machine is working on LA for the c165. My GPU machine says 3 hours left, while my CPU machine still wants almost 15 hours. I let the CPU machine continue running its LA in case something happens to the GPU machine. If all works as its supposed to, the GPU machine will interrupt the CPU machine if it is successful, and SR will be run on the CPU machine. Quote:

Last year, my programs showed nothing! But now, we have much more data and I'm "raking" very wide in the parameters. I'm going so wide that my intuition has fooled me for days about what I could get from my computer ! As for the OEIS, it doesn't know any of the sequences of numbers that I submit to it, for example such as all the powers of 2 whose aliquot sequences end on the prime number 7 : there are 2^3, 2^10, 2^12, 2^141, 2^278, 2^387, 2^421 that end in 7 and the OEIS doesn't know the sequence 3,10,12,141,278... I was hoping that these kinds of sequences were known, and eventually found otherwise, that would have been great, even revolutionary ! I'm looking on all sides and I have new ideas every day, it never ends ! |
