But they don't exhale more CO2 with a full trunk than empty. Try hauling ~250 kg on your bicycle sometime. You'll burn a lot of carbon-based fuel (food) in a trip of any significant length, despite the admirable energy efficiency of travel by bicycle.

It isn't the weight that matters, it is the frictional losses.

Of course. Among other things.
Rolling friction plus aerodynamic friction plus sometimes gravity work (positive or negative). Rolling friction is typically a strong function of load, tire design, inflation pressure, and riding surface. (Try biking on concrete or asphalt vs. in tall grass or loose beach sand.) Aerodynamic friction is high relatively speaking in bike racing and low in low-speed pack-mule usage, unless there's a significant headwind component.

Indeed. Nonetheless, going up hill requires work.

Default That didn't go as planned...

The logo on the left is for our Football team (not soccer).
TD in Football lingo stands for Touch-Down ... a major score ... 6 points.

However, if you look closer you will notice a distinct letter 'S' in the logo.
...followed by TD. Put them together and what do we get? "Penicillin"

I saw a very loud Nissan Z with the plate: HUUH

I noticed the sound coming off the car was a steady thrumming HUUH. Any other explanations?
