OTOH, local troubles could very well cause db communication issues.

In any case, 660^60 and 44^98 have been moved one term, but nothing else of these will be done until further notice.
Ugh. Automation is so much fun sometimes. Good luck!

In other news, for my failed power supply on one of my HP I7-10700's, my shop received a new one and it didn't work either so they were going to return it and order yet another one. I guess those are pretty proprietary. I'm still waiting to hear back. He thinks something with the motherboard may be frying the power supply. So that machine may be toast.

Feeling short handed after that loss after your last pack of splits, I picked up two I7-12700 (12 core/20 thread) machines a couple of weeks ago a few days after I lost the I7-10700. Now it's no problem keeping up with these. :-) Although you have gone at a more leisurely pace so I've been able to continue with some of the 120-digit stuff while working on your splits. I needed the new machines last time.

Everything is mostly getting split up one sequence per machine. The only ones I'm queuing right now are sequences with fully ECM'd cofactors > ~143 digits that I want to continue on. Those stay on the Ryzen. Right now, I put 379^65 with a C143 on one of the 12-core machines. But there is a C146 on 14316^40 and a C150 on 660^60, neither with factor 3, that are waiting on the Ryzen behind 373^63 that has a factor 3. It's still managed to drop to a 152-digit current size and hasn't had a very large cofactor yet so it might go to termination. I decided I'll bite the bullet and take on a C150 for the first time but I'll make it the last sequence I work on. If more interesting stuff pops up before it starts, it will get pushed down the list.

Last night I manually finished one of the last set and found an earlier one hadn't been reported to factordb. I corrected the omission and as you noticed, the four first ones of the <140 are done. I do expect to try again with the last eight today, and then evaluate my next endeavor.

Bummer about the machine, but congrats on the additions and good luck with the pending c150. I'm looking at whether to get another Z620 (or two) that are less than $150 each ATM. I would still need to add memory and probably swap the dual CPUs for a few more cores. But, they are old and heavy systems and I would probably do better with something newer. Too much of my farm is ancient.

RichD and Gary have been busy! Thanks guys!

I'm running my machines full out on a different project attempting to keep the outside ones alive overnight. I actually had to turn the fan RPMs down for one that doesn't like the cold.

I'm not sure how soon I'll move back to this project. Although I have two hosts swapping back and forth so the clients can stay mostly busy with sieving, there are short periods of time between changeover where the clients are idle. It doesn't take long for an idle machine to fall to near the external temperature and -30F isn't well accepted by equipment with a rated operating range above 32F.

Nice p95! I wondered about including a sequence at 171. Now you're making me wonder about those >179 ones. . .

I'm still studying which would be best to tackle next. I could look at c14x cofactors or maybe, more singles remaining within a base. I'd prefer to run GNFS only ATM. Full ECM not necessary, but would be better. I might be ready to switch back from my current play by tomorrow.

Your suggestions?
