The "prime record"-page from Jens Kruse Andersen ?
Why? Since two years there are no updates and unfortunately we get no feedback of our mails to Jens. :-( That is disconcerting , so I think. The informations are to precious. |

How are you taking his site over? Do you have credentials? If so, why shouldn't you at least work on it? And what exactly do you mean by "taking over"?

I need an okay by Jens, this is clear.
I believe, we have lost the contact to Jens and I know, he is/was very ill. It is possible that some day the URL is not available and then is his work lost...so I have download some htm-pages. "Do you have credentials?" Maybe.... https://sites.google.com/site/anthon...attredirects=0 Best wishes |

This was a tremendous work by Jens. We would hate to lose it.
From time-to-time people drop out of cyberspace without any notification. Many times it is as a result of their demise or serious illness. Cybertronic has done a huge amount of work on this effort. It seems natural for him to take over. Cybertronic, would you create your own web page with a new URL using Jens's page as a starting point? That seems like the best and easiest thing to do. Okay, next time I will try to make a duplikate.
What I can write as information on this page ? "Prepared by Jens Kruse Andersen. At the moment continued by [me]." ? |

If you know the date that the page was originally created by Jens you could include that too. I say this as admin for the CRUS pages. Some of the pages were created by others but updated by me so the above is close to what I attempt to show. |

I have reorganized the prime record page from Jens K. Andersen...
https://www.pzktupel.de/JensKruseAnd...%20Records.php - invalid links are removed [Yahoo etc] - transforming to php - reformatting numbers Last fiddled with by Cybertronic on 2023-02-04 at 09:03 |

Yes, it seems so. It's looking better already, though obviously not finished. I must note again (I already did in the prime-gap thread) that Nicely's prime-gaps page must now be linked as https://faculty.lynchburg.edu/~nicely/gaps/gaplist.html , not anywhere on trnicely.net , which no longer contains anything useful. The list is not in a very readable format as e.g. on the Wikipedia page 'Prime gap', and you may wish to consider re-doing it similarly.
Also, for 'smallest' records, be clear about whether it is known to be the smallest (exhaustively searched) or just the smallest known. The wording you used, 'smallest existing' presumably means the former but is awkward and could easily be taken as a non-native speaker's error for the latter. |
