A: on the microwave time pad. 111 will be 1:11, but 99 will be 99s.

On the comfort scale for humans as temperatures, regardless of units, F or C.
Desirability as a BMI. Fixed point representation with implied decimal point right of the leftmost digit. As fractions 1/11 < 9/9. As negative values 111 < 99. As scientific notation 1.1E1 << 9.E9 As repdigits d.. in base d+1. And their respective factor counts, and factor sums. Desirability as a finishing time for a 100 meter sprint, in tenths of a second. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Men%27...rd_progression Last fiddled with by kriesel on 20210223 at 15:21

BREAKING: Teacher Arrested At Pearson Airport
A high school teacher was arrested today at Toronto's Pearson Airport as he attempted to board a flight while in possession of a ruler, a protractor, a compass, a sliderule and a calculator. At a press conference, Premier Kathleen Wynne said she believes the man is a member of the notorious extremist AlGebra movement. She did not identify the man, who has been charged by the OPP with carrying weapons of maths instruction. 'AlGebra is a problem for us', the Premier said. 'They derive solutions by means and extremes, and sometimes go off on tangents in search of absolute values.' They use secret code names like "X" and "Y" and refer to themselves as "unknowns"; but we have determined that they belong to a common denominator of the axis of medieval with coordinates in every country. As the Greek philosopher Isosceles used to say, "There are three sides to every triangle." When asked to comment on the arrest, Prime Minister Trudeau said, "If God had wanted us to have better weapons of maths instruction, He would have given us more fingers and toes."
