ECM 5.0.3 for windows

Is there such a binary available? I've found the source but I dont know how to compile it. Im trying to use p95 ecm with stage 2 ecm being done by gmp-ecm. I currently have ecm 5.1-beta and this version doesnt seem to like the format of the file produced by prime95. I get this error:

Error - unknown operator: 'x'

Error - invalid number [Q]

Error - invalid number [S]
N field not followed by semicolon

Im not sure 5.0.3 will work, I've used an older version (GMP-ECM 5.0 [powered by GMP 4.1.2] [ECM]) And this works. but it has a bug that was identified with this version. I don't want to run ecm curves on a buggy version. Anyone know what I can do ?

Don't know the exact version, but you can find one in the filesection of the primenumbers yahoo group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/primenumbers/

I think you need to become a member first.

I suggest 5.0.3. It is not a beta and had fixed a few issues with 5.0. The 5.1 version in the primenumbers group is a different branch from 5.0 and has different mods than 5.0.3. I tried the 5.1 version once and had lots of problems with it. 5.0.3 has been rock solid.

i dont see the 5.0.3 version in that files section. only the 5.0c and that is a buggy version as well. i have the 5.1 beta but it doesnt work with the file i need it to work with. any other ideas where i can get the 5.0.3 version ?

this version works for me. I run the program something like this

ecm -inp in.txt -n -d -c 10 -I 1 250000 >> out.txt

will this work with the residues that prime95 generates so that i can do stage 2 of the algorithm ?

I never tried, but IIRC you'll have to use the -resume option

The 5.1 branch has not been updated with the bug fix, and will not work with Prime95 files anyway. 5.0.3 will work with the Prime95 files. I'm assuming you need a Windows binary? As long as you don't mind using a Cygwin build, I can send you the binary and DLL if you PM me your email address. What processor do you use? I have an Athlon optimized build already that I can send you, and on Monday I can make a P4 optimized build if you need that.
