Hey, just wanted to ask, is an iteration time of 12-14 ms/iter normal around exponent on the order of 65 million?

I'm not a Mac user myself, but mixing P cores & E cores in the same worker probably slows things. IIRC mprime does not expect and exploit optimally differing core performance levels in a mix. Try for just the 4 P cores. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_M1#Variants

Ok, I will try that.
EDIT: Nope, doesn't work. Iteration time springs up to about 17 ms/iter when I use 4 cores. Last fiddled with by BigNumberGuy on 2022-06-16 at 00:31 |
