If it had rained money onto my body, sure.

In German, we say: "Wenn es heute (Häute) regnet, wird das Leder billiger. Wenn es morgen (Morgen) regnet, wird das Land billiger."

Something about today and tomorrow. Things being cheaper, perhaps.

If so, he would have to be bidding against himself.

Looking at the seller feedback (0) and the usernames/feedback of the bidders, this isn't a real auction.

Yes, literally translated:
"If it rains today (the German word here is spoken the same way as "animal skins"), leather will be cheaper. If it rains tomorrow (the German word here is spoken the same way as "acres"), land will be cheaper.

I moved from position 77 to 70 after 11 days on the order waiting list for a Gigabyte model. I would guess at least another month. I am told Asus has a larger supply of boards.

Yes you can.

Knock a hole in an external wall big enough for the back of the fridge to sit in it, leaving the front of the fridge inside the room. Seal the edges. Leave the fridge door open and power up.

REMOVE the fridge door, to prevent possible death by suffocation or hypothermia of any children in the home. Sounds like a redneck version of a window air conditioner, perhaps installed in an exterior doorway. (So many building code violations...)

I had an uncle, by marriage, who immigrated here from Germany sometime after WWI. He fought in that war. I was able to pick up bits and pieces because he would translate them. He was a farmer, and when he got mad, the English went out the window in a hurry. He passed away in the mid 1970's.

Now, back on topic...

Don't you want to see how far off topic this thread gets before someone has a card to test? Call it a social experiment and we're golden. Personally I'm hoping for a decent bread recipe.

I think the rating of mersenne.ca is totally exaggerated, the RTX 3080/3090 won't even surpass a RXVega64 in OpenCL performance, certainly not in the price / performance ratio.
f.e. A Tesla K80 needs 5800-6200 us / it for a 104M exponent, with a Vega64 you need a maximum of 1745 us / it for 104M, the values on mersenne.ca do not even come close to reality.
