Well, if you want to live on the edge, once you're done with P-1, doing a 74-75 TF on the survivors might _just_ be enough to clear the range.

But, if you want to clean this out with just P-1, you need to increase probability by 1% point more (so, instead of 5.67%, target 6.6%).

Haha, up to now, with both checkpoints at 30% and 50% of the range done, it seems that my mental approximation is better than your paper calculation
(there are few more factors not yet reflected in James' table).

Or I got very lucky. Hopefully, I didn't just jinx it.

On the other hand:

processing: P-1 factor 5752639011446821649399238513725113 for M35151917 (B1=2,329,319, B2=61,891,103) (112.148 bits)
CPU credit is 10.1036 GHz-days.
processing: P-1 factor 3281675317936646492791415701916386031 for M35152681 (B1=2,329,319, B2=2,329,319) (121.304 bits)
CPU credit is 4.2219 GHz-days.
that big guy was a stage 1 find, it seems!

Well, it's possible. I too did some approximations to pick a representative B1/B2 bounds for the existing P-1 work done.

However, I don't think I'm that off. How many P-1 tests have you done, and how many factors have you found so far?

If you go here and grab all the range into an editor that shows line numbers, there are 2036 left, which means 40 factors found (including the one from Wayne). From there too, it is easy to see that I am at 52% of the range (from B1/B2 values). So, 37 factors to find. We are VERY close get rid of this range. Fingers crossed!

Yes your success rate is better than expected ... keep it up.

And you are closing in on me for P-1 this year.... too bad colab is ignoring me lately

Grrr... You are still not giving me actual numbers.

Ok. Current status:
1192 tests done, 42 factors found. 1:28.xx
884 tests pending, 35 needed. 1:25.xx

Very close. If you're lucky, P-1 will get the job done. But probably will need a few hundred TF

Already left you behind!
Related to that, there is a funny story to tell. The day before yesterday, after I dropped in a bunch of results, and you also stopped doing your work, the ETA jumped from 4 days to 2 days. And I said yeaaaa... lucky me. But then, yesterday, without your numbers advancing at all (you still had like 117.8k GHzD in that table, more or less), the ETA jumped back to 5 days. And I was scratching my head and said WTF?? What magic/voodoo did you do?
Then I saw my score dropped from 117.1 to 116.3 and I realized that a large chunk of work that I did last year this time, dropped out of the top (it became older than 365 days). And I said, doh, well, I will have to freaking work five more days... ...
But then today your score jumped backwards too, to 117.4 which you still have, haha, while mine reached 117.7
It seems you also did some work last year about this time, which just dropped out of the 365-days top.
Lots of fun...

Actually, I did, you had all the numbers and percents needed.

Yes, here you are right, and I am starting to see this, while at that time the "forecast" (assuming the luck stays the same) was 81 factors, then today (with 43 factors in ~60% of the range) the "forecast" is only 72 factors. Remark that we need 77.

So, yeah, I will try talking Chris into serving me 35.1xM to 75 bits for my Colab, where x is any sub-range with more than 200 candidates (x=0, 2, 7, 9, but for 7 and 9 there is still P-1 to do, and they may get done, at least partially - wish me luck!).

In fact, as long as the etherreum () stays low, local instances will also hammer there.
(now I imagine all of you prayin' so the ETH stays low... )

You can probably wait and see the final results of P-1 before taking any definitive action on TF.

Yes, that's the plan.
I fixed the x values in the above post, correct is x={0, 2, 7, 9} and not {0, 3, 7, 9} as stated before.

Haha, continuation of the story, today I am again behind, as my score went from 117.8 to 117.2, and you are still at 117.5
It looks like last year in June I was quite busy doing P-1 too...

But I just reported the overnight work.
Wait for next hourly update!

I think I will jump over 118.

Yaaarrr

Any other people want to join the fry?

I wont. After this range is finished I am quitting GIMPS (if that insult is not fixed).
