UPDATE: at 48 minutes, TMPIN2 = 84 degrees

please let me know if one could consider this tolerable..I will update this reply with more images once in a while

And I hope this is what you were suggesting that I measure :)

and thanks :)
Cheers
I guess you have one core running at turbo. The chip will balance the cores when when they are all in use. You need to set up the "the number of cores to use" in the Prime95 settings.

If they all very high -- read 90C plus -- on a hot day your computer might need a better cooling solution, be that extra case fans, water cooling, or panel removal.

Default Torture Test...

Number of torture test thread to run: This is the number of physical cores you have; do not count double for the Hyper Threaded cores.

I see that yours had 16; you have a 8 physical core PC; use 8.

Though if you are using 8 or 16 I'm not sure why it seems only 1 core is being used based on the temperatures.

I don't know how you got the information about one core having a different temperature from the others from the screen shots. The 6 TMPIN temperatures concern the motherboard not the CPU (I presume the TMPIN2 concerns the VRM.) The conclusions you draw from wrong interpretation of the data is thus not pertinent.

The only CPU temperature given is for the whole of it : CPU Package.

There are better programs to monitor the CPU : HW INFO or Open hardware monitor.

Hello this is from HW_INFO

I used a software called HW monitor and it displayed the info as show in the images attached

..per what you say...i think the max heat has been 82%

I assumet that is good news....this is with all the fans running and a huge external powerful fan (like the one used in garages) was used during the tests...will that skew results?

Paul:

in fact I don't know even know what turbo is :)

Mine is ryzen 8 cores. … so set it at 8 cores right?
