But is it really a possible prime? That is an awfully big gap from the current highest. I can see the milestone page getting a countdown overflow error.

Anyway...

no rotcaf for M200000033 from 2^1 to 2^68 [mfaktc 0.16p1 71bit_mul24]
no rotcaf for M200000033 from 2^68 to 2^69 [mfaktc 0.16p1 71bit_mul24]

George, I'm continuing on this one. If you faked the trial-rotcafing results give me a call, as I'm redoing it...

If the rotcafization (yeah, whatever...) has not been actually done, I claim it up to 75 bits.

Luigi

I started it last night my time. I can confirm no factor through 2^70 (using Prime95).

Anyone have a powerful P-1 machine?
Verification on that large of a number "Sounds like a job for macLucas.cuda".

For this being prime:
Found March 30, not April 1, first posted March 31
No factors below 2^70, at least (PrimeNet claims old results of TF to 2^74 and P-1 to B1=50000)
'Prime' result appears on Exponent Status page
Found by George Woltman, who is the leader and so respected

Against this being prime:
Found by George Woltman, who is the leader and so in a good position to fake a prime
No 'prime' result appears on the main status page, but it does say one LL was completed
Way above the leading edge of LL tests, in fact the only one in the 151M-332M range to have been completed (from what I can see)
The first prime exponent above 200M
Very close to April 1
The computer name, "debug_mac", suggests there's a possibility that this was done on a version of Prime95 that might produce erroneous results, e.g. a false prime result.

My conclusion: it's a hoax, 99% sure

It has P1 to B1=50k, I'm running it to 55k. I realize this is totally silly, but whatever, that core is already working on a pretty silly assignment anyway, and I don't mind pushing it back a bit.

It should be done in 4-5 hours -- I started an hour or two ago, just forgot to mention here on the forums...

Fun's over. I'm just testing the server's email notification for prime results.

In the meantime, the bogus 1700 GHz-days has really helped my top producers standings.

The question is: apart from the LL-test, are the factoring results correct, (i.e. may I start trial-factoring from 74 bits)? I also tried to submit lower TF (as, I guess, tried Uncwilly), but the ranges "were not needed"...

All previous data on that exponent is valid.
