Should I mention that one of my co-workers ended up in the ER a few weeks later, almost certainly as a partial result of the earthquake? He was working in an electrical cabinet, with no possibility of electrical connection (it was under construction), then there was a loud noise, and he jumped....bloodying his head when it hit on the edge of the cabinet frame.

I doubt he would have jumped had the earthquake not been fresh in his memory -- if he'd have thought about it, inside the cabinet was probably among the best moves to be made if there really was an earthquake.
