Default Test Sieving Questions

Hello,

My name is Nate and I stumbled across this blog and I am not sure if this is the right place but I am gonna try any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am a marketing major at Kent State University majoring in marketing. I am working on a marketing project for the Test Sieve industry and have been tasked with understanding the Sieve market better. I would love to get into contact with some people who use test sieves but I have run into difficulties actually figuring out the job titles that use test sieve. I realize that it is a very versatile product used in many industries but I was wondering if someone here could help me understand the end consumer of who actually performs sieving test. I plan on calling companies and I would rather have a job title that I can ask for rather than " can i speak to the person who does some test sieving".

Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thank you so Much!

Hi, Nathan:

I suggest you survey some folks in your target demographic and see how the percentages break down regarding customer preferences for the 3 most commonly used test sieves:

1. Eratosthenes;

2. Multiple polynomial quadratic;

3. Number field.

If they answer (3), make sure to follow up with "general or special?" and ask whether they tend to have more difficulty with the sieving per se, or with the filtering or linear algebra step.

By the way I am completely angry with you now... No SIQS?

p.s. joking apart, are you talking to bots now? It seems to me like a specific spamming bot pattern matching based (eliza, etc).

I think the "bot or not?" tipoff may lie herein:

I am a marketing major at Kent State University majoring in marketing.

The question you really need to ask, is ewmayer 'himself' a bot, with a really wicked AI-snark capability?

It is very hard to tell marketing reps from bots - because marketing people really talk like that!

The posting is complete gobbledygook, but pasting pieces of the sentences into Google finds only this thread - it does not seem to be the work of an automatic spambot. It's hardly a consolation to think that an actual human wrote that.

Not quite an actual human - a "marketing major majoring in marketing." I believe the Linnean classification is homo venditoris majorensis venditoris.

You would think if it is bot, it would get the grammar and capitalization correct and would not have run on sentences like the first one. Since when is the word "Much" capitalized except at the beginning of a sentence? Also, why is "sieve" in "Sieve market" capitalized? If it's a bot, it's a poor one. If it's a person, he certainly needs to work on his grammar.

Nathan Staab has a twitter account with a nstaab1 ID at https://twitter.com/nstaab1. It says that he is a musician but also a "managerial marketing student" at Kent State. For that reason, I think it may be a legit request for info.; just not worded very well.
