Is bcheffin's tool running on all sequences including ones that have been reserved for other projects?
I was a little surprised this morning to find that sequence 515028 had been taken a hundred iterations further than I'd had it ... I put my factors into the database and it was left there as a down-driver. For me, at least part of the goal of the enormous attack on below-400 sequences was the chance to get some terminations; if my sequences are going to be run on by someone else as soon as I put them in the database, this goal goes away. |

Maybe Ben could take the current sequences for Project 400 from his master list so they don't get worked on. This would probably be easiest, since there is not a sticky post at the top of the thread with a list of the current reservations. (And I would like to keep the project structured the way it is, since not all the sequences in this project will end up reserved in the main thread.) |

Yet another way would be to not upload anything that puts a sequence at risk of having a small enough copmposite that the workers would pick it up. I'll do it whichever way makes the most sense to everyone else.... |

I checked my logs and yes, that was me -- sorry. I only track the main reservations thread because I can automatically parse the top post. I didn't try to avoid the project-400 sequences because in general they're all way over my threshold, but in this case your sequence had decreased and so the workers picked it up.
I certainly don't want to steal the fun from anyone -- sorry fivemack. I have manually removed all the remaining project-400 sequences from my list until the subproject is done. If there are any others you want me to stay away from (which are not mentioned in the main reservations thread), let me know. The current code will factor anything from c106 down, and up to c110 if there is a downdriver. Anything above that is safe from the workers. |

It's happened again on 741450 - I left it at about iteration 1140 this morning and it's now at 1236. It's reserved in the first post in the reservations thread.

I'm sorry, that read as blaming you and I didn't mean to. We know there's someone contributing to the database without reading this forum, since one of the intermediate steps in 4788 got factors submitted shortly before the forum-people had finished sieving it.

If they want to do some factoring, there are several sequences that I would like to see get some heavy duty help..... |

Someone actively works on 933436 in the FactorDB. I need to say that the sequence has advanced far from the current state.vanced far from the current state.

Seems there is some downdriver hunter stepping on my toes with both feet. 530082 is reserved by me (as of now, I will unreserve it); someone seems to have thrown in quite some computing power (at least a C2D, as he is faster than me) to advance it ~100 steps further than me.
