Assignment Rule Change (why did I get a double-check?)

GIMPS policy has changed. All computers with a work preference of first-time or 100M LL LL testing will now be given one DC assignment each year so that GIMPS (and you) can monitor the health of the hardware.

As always, if you must, you can override this behavior by opting-out at http://mersenne.org/thresholds

The specifics of the new policy are as follows: Your computer will be given a DC assignment unless one of the following 3 conditions are met:
1) Your computer has returned at least one matching LL result in the last year.
2) Your computer has an active double-check assignment.
3) Your computer has returned a matching LL result in the last 2 years and your computer has submitted less than 5 more LL results since then. This helps prevent slower computers from getting too high a percentage of DC assignments when the user really wants to do LL.

Not at all. If one has this option set, then they probably have done one DC ni the last year.
