2004-05-04, 18:02 #14 junky     Jan 2004 7×19 Posts a couple of days ago, i've compute this: Code: % expr (20000-14319.35)/332 17.1103915663 % so if we're sending 332 WUs/day we'll reach the end before 18 days. (and even less then this number, cause in May 3' stat a little occured in the stat, we have more then 128WUs completed for that day (yesterday). we'll see with time what's happen.

Ok, here's another status report. Not an entirely happy one, I'm afraid.

As explained earlier, I had to start a matrix which was vastly too big and too far from square because of a combination of a buggy IO library and running out of time before leaving the country for over a week.

That matrix did not produce any usable solutions, so I had to start over again.

Another matrix, a much better looking one this time, started earlier today and is predicted to take 25 days to run. However, that prediction is based on only 20 minutes worth of progress, so don't take the figure too literally.

For the afficionados, the matrix has 9515017 rows, 9553996 columns and 670193216 set bits.

What makes you think that we are finished with 2_1137P? Just because almost all of the pools have finished their work, you cannot conclude that "xxx has finished". There are still a few machines that are finishing up their assignments. I expect them to finish in the next few hours. Then I can do a filter run to verify that we have indeed collected an adequate number of relations. Assuming that it is successful, some time tomorrow, I expect to declare the sieving for 2,1137+ finished.

As for 10,223+, I have now processed 2.8M W vectors out of 5.1M needed.
Since the cluster is still busy on 2,811-, I expect to continue on this one until I finish it. Perhaps mid-June.

Richard
