new experimental banners for GIMPS
Some people have been complaining that the GIMPS banners are far outdated, but nobody has taken up the task creating new ones.
I'm a noob at graphics design, but I decided to try my hand at making new banners. I used the open-source GIMP (which, coincidentally, sounds like "GIMPS") since I don't have Photoshop. This is the tutorial I used. Here are two I made so far. The first one has solid text, while the second one is mostly transparent.
