I'll assume you're not looking for a definition of the term "life."

I'll assume further that you're referring to human life.

Also, it is not clear whether "for you" means "your life specifically" or "your idea of the meaning of human life." I will assume the latter.

Now, we get to "meaning of life." I'll assume "purpose or significance," but whose purpose? What significasnce?

I do not subscribe to the notion of humanity existing to serve the purposes of other beings. If it did, you'd have to ask them what the meaning is.

Therefore, for the purpose of present discussion, any purpose or significance has to be self-designated.

So I am led to think about things we humans can do that other living things do not do, at least as far as I know.

One of these things is imagining our future, and the future world, beyond our individual existence and even beyond our existence as a species.

So given the constraint of three words, I would say

"In looking ahead."

In looking ahead is kind of vocation for me. I do this with great passion enthusiasm.
And I like that it sounded from you.

My definition of the meaning of life is somewhat different.
And this definition answers why I have a passion for certain things.

And I don't need three words to express it. It's too much.
One word is enough for me.

I haven't actually read this thread, but I can infer the intent. (I'm taking a break from screaming at network engineers; connectivity is /almost/ as important as electrons...)

My goal with my life is to leave the system with a /little/ less entropy than when I entered. At least, the very few bits I have an opportunity to interact with.

Put another way... I believe that the Universe reflects.
