I think it would be nice to split (once again) the unit of work to handle the fact that somebody can do only the P-1 Factoring because of not enough resources to do a complete LL in a reasonnable amount of time (less than 1.5 months) but can do more than simple factoring ....

P-1 factoring depends on memory on its second stage. Slow machines with large amounts of RAM would be perfect for this task...

I second this. Various people have been talking about wanting this since I joined the board last year. Hopefully Scott will implement it in v5.
