program to verify factors found by sr(x)sieve?

Hi all,

Does anyone know of a program that can verify factors found by any of the srsieve family of sievers, by checking whether the factor really does divide the candidate? I know that srsieve has the ability to check factors as it finds them, but what I'm looking for is a program to check an existing srsieve-compatible factors file.

I once saw a Perl script that does this somewhere on the forums here, but I can't find it now.

AFAIR the perl script you mention is a part of "ksieve suite"

Actually...now that I try it, it doesn't seem to work at all. It tells me all the factors it checks, even ones that I generated with ksieve itself, are bad. Hmmm.....

maybe what it says is bad is good and what it says is good is bad

I have struggled with it some time ago under windows and it helped to convert "pl" file to "bat" format... check this out.

No, it still says bad even when I make up gibberish factors.

I'm using Linux, and I've got Perl installed just fine...hmm.
