evaluated polynomial value polyval is not a multiple of n!
Hi
I factorise many 155 digits RSA and then, with one RSA key i have got this error: -> Error: evaluated polynomial value polyval is not a multiple of n! What exaclly this mean ? No P and Q as prime numbers ? |

It means that the polynomial does not come out to a multiple of the number you are trying to factor. For GNFS it probably means that either the polynomial or the number to factor have been corrupted.
Please post the GNFS polynomial that was generated. Double check the number after n: is the number you are trying to factor. Also say what hardware and software you are using to factor the numbers. It could be a transient hardware glitch, if so re-running the job should work. Chris |
