Is anyone here interested in a debian package for mprime? I'm thinking about getting more involved with debian's package system. Mprime came to mind as something I could use to get my feet wet with making debian packages. Is this something that others would find useful or is it already too easy to set up mprime, and have it launch on bootup, for most linux users?

I've looked into it. There is one already but it is outdated.
http://packages.debian.org/oldstable/misc/prime-net The main problem is it would not be in the "free" repository because of the restrictive award agreement. I think it would be better to package up Mlucas, personally. I spent quite a bit of effort to get "into the system" but without a "mentor" it is very difficult. |
