Does this SSE4 have any potential for improvemets for this project?

I noticed that there is Floating Point Dot Product
DPPS, DPPD

Those instructions probably won't help (we'll have to await further description and to make use of it may require a different memory layout - a lot of work).

The round instruction looks interesting. If it is efficient it could be quite useful.
