I've seen that too, but I am confused by the structure at N37 48 18 81 E107 23 39 81. And what are the other white things that intersect it? I see something at N38 0 20 52 E107 2 30 91. Is that a road? My Chinese co-worker told me that no roads cross over (or under) the Great Wall. And what is the dark thing next it it? It appears to be too straight to be a river. Is it a canal or a road? It's unfortunate that Googol's maps don't have the resolution to clearly make out what these objects are.

Rogue,
I went to the China Today website and found a map showing sections of the wall that are still visible, link here: http://www.travelchinaguide.com/pict...wall/index.htm I also checked out the place names mentioned in the description and of them the following can be searched for in Google Earth, with their co-ordinates: Shanhaiguan Pass (the wall starts here) N40 00 40.34 E 119 49 25.97 Hebei N39 53 22.94 E115 16 29.96 Tianjin N 39 08 32.11 E 117 10 35.77 Shanxi - the one in Google Earth looks too far south to me, but it is at N 27 39 53.20 E 120 03 04.89 The Shanhaiguan Pass looks pretty convincing to me, but it still has roads and railways crossing it and doesn't go too far inland before it disappears. I'm beginning to suspect that this might not be one contiguous wall, but a bunch of fragments that maybe we have in our imaginations connected together. |

Here it is everyone!
![]() I found the Great Wall of China on Google Earth (atleast I'm 90% sure). Took me a little while, about 20mins. I had a general idea where it was so I found it quickly. Some of you guys were looking waaaaaaay to far west. And the Wall of China IS NOT that straight, very curvy. you guys were looking at highways probably. 40 31 17.55 N 116 47 43 E Just copy/paste that into your Google Earth! Enjoy!
