Arrow Nobel Prizes.

The prize for Physics was won by two Americans and one German.
The prize for Chemistry went to two Americans and one French
The prize for medicine went to two Australians
Where were the British ?
Do we have any amongst us to nominate for the Fields Medal?

All the bright Brits either emigrated to the American colonies or got themselves shipped off to Oz, apparently.

Very true Ernst.
But they still have the I.Newton Institute of Advanced Study.
And also Stephen Hawkins (Hawking radiation and 'A brief History of Time') at Cambridge
They also have Roger Penrose who shared the 1988 Wolf Prize for Physics from Oxford with him
BTW. THe book 'The Road to Reality' (Penrose) I have started on seems full of promise and excellently clear enough to understand

Um, perhaps the Brits are all away reflecting on their re-discovered prowess in cricket?
