And we should have started a new thread when version 2 came out.

Could a moderator create a sticky "Links to FDB Helpers" similar to "Links to Factoring Programs"?
I know of 2 or 3 scripts for factoring composite numbers from the queue. There is also a BOINC project that works on larger composites. There has been some recent dicussion on an ECM helper. There is a fairly new Primo for Linux that works on the PRP queue, along with the no-longer-supported-but-still-works Windows version. There was some talk on N-1/N+1 primality proving/helpers but not sure if any code was associated with that. Aliquot Sequences are another topic but perhaps just a link to the Aliquot Helper post/thread. (No use maintaining two sets of links.) Anything else needs inclusion? Authors, please include a comment line at the top of your code. If it's worth posting, it's worth recognition. Don't forget the links in the sticky and a brief description. I would love for Syd to describe, how to become a DB Worker. :-) |
