Plans for the end of the world

I've seen some billboards in my area that warned that the world will end this year:

So here's my question: If you knew the exact time and date that the world would end, what would you do when the end is near? Quit your job? Try some illegal drugs? Go skydiving without a parachute a minute before the end?

I don't know what I'll do yet, but I do know that I won't be spending any money on billboards.

First, make sure I understood which time zone was referenced. I'd really hate to find the world crumbling beneath me as I was still on my way to the airport for that final skydive ... or to see the time arrive and pass on my watch while my fall continued.

The world just might end this year for you...you never know if a drunk is going to head-on collide with you on the freeway. All this end-times stuff is about death, currently inevitable for us all, Kurzweil's transition to digital spirits notwithstanding.

The correct answer should be: Exactly what you are doing now, otherwise you are wasting your life....and not having nearly enough fun with it.

And why not spend some money on billboards, if you have it...be fun to have one screaming www.mersenne.org: #48 is near...Believe it!
