Which is a good opportunity to boast...

For a while I was founding ~80% of the factors, till SRBase joined, and my percent decreased to ~30%, then Oliver started to report his "bucket" of factors, and I went to about 10%. Since I stopped (as mentioned in former posts), people continued to report factors, and I am now at the shown ~5% from the whole amount.

When I joined, there were 214 "ranges" to go, currently there are only 181. From the 33 "killed" ranges, I have found 549 of the total 2530 factors, which puts me at ~21% of the "killed ranges' factors". I was at about 40% when I "left", as there were about 7 or 8 ranges closed since.
Your help was greatly appreciated but sadly, through no fault of your own cough, cough, colab, cough, cough, greatly missed.

Something or someone started a revolution a few months ago.

Our current "team" is the biggest it has ever been: SRBase, Judger and Anonymous TFing like crazy along with about 15 other TFers and a dozen or so doing P1.

Maybe the collective is seeing this project, which was once an insane pipe-dream, becoming a reality.

Whatever, the reason I really, really appreciate everyone's help.

If the "borg" sticks around, a year from now there might not be much left.

I sometimes wonder just how many Pixar movies could be rendered with the compute being brought to bear for this project (or the overall GIMPS project in general).

Admittedly, this takes longer to watch. But for some, it's almost as entertaining...

By the way, SRBASE appear to be "on leave". Where have they all gone?

He is still showing good TF progress on his own BOINC website...I suspect he is just away from the console or whatever he uses to occasionally send the results.

I am still moving downwards, albeit extremely slow, snail-snail pace-pace, with P-1 to high bounds, through the 11.3M range. So, I beg the competitors to leave it for me (at the speed I have now, I can only beg )

The reason why I am still alive, is that Gugu still gives me some P100 rarely, for few hours per day, starting from last Friday. I think they want to convince me to subscribe again and pay the bucks for next month...

Or maybe they really had a request, surge, whatever, in computing power, and now they are starting coming back, i.e. giving reasonable cards to Pro subscribers, at least from time to time. I would put up the money if I would be sure I get around 3-4 hours of V100 or around 6-8 hours of P100 per day (24h). Still thinking about. For a while I wasn't getting any GPU, for days!

I finished 11.36M, going now through 11.35M. It will take a while.

Nearing the end...can I talk you into taking another range next?

Any of these:
34.4
32.7
31.2

Yes, +/- 150 to go, work for 6-7 days;
After 85 days working on 30.5, only 17 factors found until now (but I came after a first "normal" P-1 wave)

I'll take 34.4.

I expect about 20 factors per range; you are within statistical reasonableness.

Thanks

Done. Taking 26.3M and 27.3M next. 26.3M shows only six remaining and active P-1 on the TWOK page; so is somebody already working on it? If this is the case, I would like to take 28.1M instead. I'll be starting with 27.3M either way.

Regarding your recommended target percentages: Are these netto or brutto net or gross percentages, as in considering previously done factoring or ignoring it?

There has been a dabbling in 26.3 but no formal request made.

According to the math page TF should produce factors at the rate of about 1/X.
So for TF75 that would be 1/75 or about 26 factors.
However, I have found that, on average, with these ranges that have lots of P1 done the rate is closer to 1/100.

Thanks

Yes, the GPU72 Colab P-1'ers are working 26.3M, and will move to 26.6M next.

I have "released" 27.3M and 28.1M for you to work.
