Prime.log:

Sending result to server for exponent 42271661
Sending text message to server:
UID: petrw1/P833, M42271661 no factor to 2^68, Wc1: 95C41950

Results.txt

UID: petrw1/P833, M42271661 no factor to 2^68, Wc1: 95C41950

And from Sept 1 status.txt:

2007-09-15, 16:11 #4 petrw1 1976 Toyota Corona years forever!     "Wayne" Nov 2006 Saskatchewan, Canada 17·263 Posts It happened again About 3 days after I reported that I did not get the credit for the last factor it appeared on my stats. Did someone notice and apply them manually for me or did the server take that long to decide to allocate them? For every other PC I have (10 in all) whether doing LL, DC or Factoring the points show up within an hour or two but now again it has been 3 days since this same PC finished factoring and still no record of the points: [Thu Sep 13 20:18:22 2007 - ver 24.14] Sending result to server for exponent 42476933 Sending text message to server: UID: petrw1/P833, M42476933 no factor to 2^68, Wc1: 97C61AAE What is so special about this one PC? These assignments were given to me in June and this PC was off for about 6 weeks in July and August. Interestingly they stopped showing up in the Individual accounts report and the assignment status report shortly after I shut off this PC. But it was less than 50 days later that I started this PC up again so they should not have expired. Then as soon as I turned this PC back on it started on the assignments again and they started showing up on both reports again as belonging to me and this PC. But again when they finish the credit does not show up. Thanks Last fiddled with by petrw1 on 2007-09-15 at 16:12 Reason: typo

I think the above line provides an explanation. Your exponents DID expire and were picked up by someone else who finished them before 30-Aug. Exponents that complete trial factoring are removed from the Primenet reports but due to a bug that was introduced by changed factoring break-even points about two years ago, the Primenet server does not register them as fully finished even though they really are finished. Primenet think they should be factored to 69 bits not 68. So when your computer started up again and contacted the server, it thought you were promising to finish the job to 69 bits (which the previous cruncher had done to 68 bits as evidenced by the 68 in the report line above) so it reallocated the exponent to you instead of saying that the exponent has been factored to the required limits already. But since you only completed work to 68 bits - which has already been completed by someone else, you rightly do not get any credit.

My advice is to drop these two exponents and get new ones. The 68 in the third column shows that they have already been trial factored enough.
Code:

42628123 F 68 17.1 9.9 59.9 15-Sep-07 17:19 30-Aug-07 17:39 petrw1 P833
