How difficult would it be to allow a search of LL results by a range of dates, rather than the present situation where one can only specify a start date and the search carries on all the way to the present?
For instance, let's say that I would like to check for LLs completed in the 52M range between 2010-01-01 and 2010-03-01. Right now, the best I can do is to search on the 52M range, and have results returned for 2010-01-01 to the present. I then have to ask the system to sort these results (of which there may be tens of thousands) by date, which takes time and places an undue burden on the server. Surely, there is a better way. Just thought I'd throw out the idea. |

For any particular year from 1997 onwards: http://www.mersenne.org/result_archive/2015.7z Each yearly file is an archive of individually compressed .xml.bz2 files for each day (the same bz2 files that can be accessed separately, e.g. http://www.mersenne.org/result_archi...-12-31.xml.bz2 Warning, the compiled annual files are large. 2015 is 140 MB, 2010 like you might want is 165 MB. (oh, and for anyone who does snarf these XMLs already, now that 2015 is history I did go ahead and create the 2015.7z archive for the whole year). |

Try this: http://www.mersenne.org/report_ll/default.mock.php Seems like it works okay. There weren't any results in the time frame and exponent range, you were curious about, by the way. I'll have to test it more and maybe make it clear that leaving the end date blank will include everything up to the current time, but it's a start. |

![]() That works beautifully, and does just what I was envisioning. I had recently been checking out some of the earlier milestone dates, and it was looking like a few of them were off by a day or two early or late, so I thought it might help resolve things to actually go back and look at when certain results were reported. You could actually populate the "end date" box with the current date, and then it would be up to the user to change it to something else. Similar to the default "2" in the lower exponent limit box. Anyway, thanks again. Perhaps your title ought to be elevated to "PrimeNet Server Ninja"! |

I can look at adding it to that one too. It's a very similar structure and the change itself wasn't too complicated. Won't be today though... I'll add it to the backburner. ![]() |
