I didn't pull this suggestion out of thin air. I faced similar issue and this fixed it.

What is your DEP setting?

My DEP is set to "Turn on DEP for essential Windows Programs and Services only". How would it think NewPGen was an "essential Window Program or Service"?

Default One more usefull feature

I don't know if someone posted this proposal before me. If so, just delete this post.
I often factorise some small numbers (up to 90 digits or so) from http://www.factordb.com/listtype.php?t=3 in a batch mode.
I usually get all numbers as a plaint text and put them in a batch file. Some times it would be nice to set an upper bound of number's length to get the exact range of desirable numbers to factor,f.e. from 1 to 90 digits.
It would be quite usefull to get an opportunuty of putting the max value of decimal digits in selected numbers. I hope you understand what I meant.

Just check in your script the maximal length of the composites you downloaded.

You can use my Perl script to fetch small composites from factorDB and factor them. You can run it in the background with low priority.

When are the scan buttons going to be added back to the DB ? I really miss them for finding smaller factors.

First I´ll check if the db runs stable without overloading the server. When this is done the scan buttons will be activated again.

For the programmers: would it be feasible to add a tag to identify composites as a result of aliquot sequences? Thanks!

factordb may return incomplete factorization of a proper factor of a completely factored number.

E.g., for 10^486 - 1 it returns complete factorization (FF status), while for (10^486-1)/487 it returns incomplete factorization (CF status).

Is it a bug or feature?
