Question PPC/Linux PRP/LLR client

Yes, it's me again. Does a PPC/Linux PRP/LLR client exist? If not, is there any chance of one in the future? Manual or Net (if I can use another net one to fetch/flush work for the ones that don't have net access), I'm not picky. I can offer ssh access to a suitable machine (dual 2.0 G5 PowerMac running gentoo).

Yes and no. Phil Carmody is working on a program called phrot that can be compiled on PPC. It can PRP test numbers of the form k*b^n+/-1. It is actually faster than LLR when b > 2. Unfortunately until Phil works out an issue with the modular reduction code (causing a rounding error in the FPU), it cannot be used. I would try to fix it myself, but I don't understand the code well enough to do that. I've been hounding him to get this fixed, but he's been busy. He reads this forum, so I hope this post is a little nudge for him to fix it sooner rather than later.
