1) Test/stop does not work properly in the "memory bandwidth timing" section of benchmarking. Fixed in 28.5 build 2.
2) Prime95 only reads the first 2048 characters of a worktodo line. "Fixed" in 28.5 build 2 -- buffer increased to 16384 characters.
3) Mac OS X (Mavericks) version does not run at full speed (OS downclocks the CPU a few minutes after prime95 becomes a background process). Option added to preferences in 28.5 build 2 to either run at full speed or enter this energy saving state.
4) Running a large (like 40+) number of workers could corrupt the stack resulting in unexpected behavior or crashes. Fixed in 28.5 build 3.
5) Core i7-4960X, i7-4500U not properly identified as an Intel CPU. Fixed in 28.5 build 3.
6) Requesting a specific FFT size did not work if a zero-padded FFT was needed. An example worktodo.txt entry "PRP=FFT2=1536K,1739611,2,13916891,-1" generates internal error #8. Fixed in next 28.5 build 3.
7) Bug in add and subtract code of gwnum caused PFGW and LLR to report 1024*3^1877301+1 as composite. Fixed in 28.6.

Setting SilentVictoryPRP=0 give me output in main windows ( probable prime is found) and title in task bar flashed , but there is no noise...
TitleOutputFrequency= n work perfect :)

Default the linux64 build machine's clock is (way) off?

Not really a concern, but I was surprised to see the untarred files from p95v285.linux64.tar.gz to be all dated Feb 26. The binary is however versioned 28.5 and runs fine. Is the linux64 build machine's clock set 9 days in the past?

Probably. I resumed the VirtualBox VM that I installed several days ago. I'll do better next time.

Here is the code prime95 uses (requires the antique Microsoft Foundation Classes):

Code:
void flashWindowAndBeep ()
{
	CWinApp* pApp = AfxGetApp();
	pApp->m_pMainWnd->FlashWindow (TRUE);
	MessageBeep (0xFFFFFFFF);
}
Improved noise making code is welcome.

If this is true part of code from llr ( and that beep works perfect), use something like this :) I am not programmer, but as I say this beep works .

Quote:
if (res) {
if(IniGetInt(INI_FILE, "BeepOnSuccess", 0)) {
do { // If stopping on this success, beep infinitely!
#if !defined(WIN32) || defined(_CONSOLE)
flashWindowAndBeep (20);
#else
flashWindowAndBeep (50);

If user have disabled sound scheme then will never hear sound called by MessageBeep. This was my case. When I enabled it I can set any tone I wish using tone associated with "DEFAULT BEEP"
