Maybe I am wrong.

But if you have a machine running Prime95 that can get Cat 1 or 0, and you do turn in enough through it to keep that, then the other assignments that you feed to a GPU should not make a difference.

You can also try to play a numbers game and do request manual assignments, but ask only assignments that are on the low end of Cat 2 that are about to turn into Cat 1. Right now there are 6050 exponents below 51,000,000 that are available. Cat 2 is above 50601462. ~3000 exponents are Cat 1 and 0. If you set your ask for 50601462 to 50700000 you should get a Cat 2 that is about to change to a Cat 1. The more that is cleared at the Cat 2 bottom end, the faster that Cat 1 and 0 move forward.

Again, there is an obstacle if a user doesn't have a computer that satisfy Cat0 or Cat1 assignment requirements. Even he/she does have, this computer can't stop doing some work otherwise it will not satisfy Cat0 or Cat1 assignment requirements in a few months.

This will not solve the problem if I want to get some assignments from "true" Cat1 or Cat0. And finishing Cat3 or Cat4 or remaining exponents can also move them forward, but the exponents in the front still remain untested.
Anyway, many GPUs are mush faster for primality testing now and it's definitely necessary to modify some rules to fit GPU testing.
