It's not a very big difference (14.5M vs 14.3M), but I'm still curious. Do you know why that is?
There are relations in bchaffin's range which are duplicates of relations in my range. Thus eliminating duplicates in the combination of both ranges will result in fewer uniques than eliminating duplicates in each range separately.

This is why it is not necessarily helpful to report unique relations in each individual range. Projects in the past have simple tallied the number of relations found in each range as they are finished, and the project as a whole targets some percentage (typcially 20% or so) more raw relations than is expected to be needed in order to compensate for duplicates.

It isn't a perfect process, but it's easier.

Is there away to resume the siever work? I notice the client writes a checkpoint but doesn't read it when you restart the client after a shutdown. I would like to help if I don't have to manually resume the client by editing the batch file....

Run the same command as before, but with the -R switch.

You don't need to change your reservation or anything, but just a note: I don't think we'll need to go that high in special-Q to finish this project.

We are conservatively getting about 1.5 relations per unit range of Q, so to get 97M relations we only need to sieve over a range of about 65MQ. Starting at 16MQ puts the top of the range at about 80MQ. You will still get relations at 92MQ, but you'll get less than at, say, 50MQ - there are diminishing returns at higher and higher Q. Optimally, one would contiguously sieve the range from ~ 16MQ to ~ 80 MQ (yeild also drops on the low end), but going a bit higher than this isn't far from optimal so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I can change but I need to change it in the next 30 min because I need to go out.
Getting more unique relations won't reduce the post-processing?

I don't think you need to change it. After thinking about it more, we may need to go that high anyway to reduce matrix size and/or compensate for duplicates.

So let's schedule the post-processing to start within 15 days. Is it possible?

That's something to shoot for. I'll do as much as I can.

Turns out it was the router lying to me. When I used a preset to aloow FTP through, it didn't really allow FTP through. I actually have to put one of my PCs in the DMZ of the router to get it to work....well at least I know for next time.
