Vote chess game 4: To be decided? Some chess variant will be interesting to consider with!

Just because vote chess game 4 says to be decided, I thought that some chess variant which would be interesting to play with, rather than simply instead of standard chess. My pick would be either of Crazyhouse or Fischer Random Chess also known as Chess 960. Larger chess board with fairy chess pieces would also be good enough and then interesting enough!

How about Horde chess piece? Or not? Variant of chess of played game, during period of time!

For example, an engine cannot help with Crazyhouse or some other chess variants, and there can be sudden chances of victory or defeat and such result will be decisive.

Standard chess is heavily dominated by opening books and opening analysis, so Fischer Random chess also known as Chess 960 would be worthy of considering because people will have to use their brains right from the beginning of the game.

Time control can be also made as like a poll: 24 hours per move, or 72 hours per move, or 168 hours per move, after on wards! Or 48 hours per move, or 96 hours per move, or 120 hours per move, or 144 hours per move, later on wards!

1. Standard chess: The usually played chess game with the standard rules.

4. Crazyhouse: This is a chess variant in which a player can reintroduce the captured pieces of his opponent as his own after changing colours at the most possible unpleasant locations. In this chess variant, pawns, knights and bishops increase in piece value and rooks and queens decrease in piece value.
   This is undoubtedly the most interesting chess variant to play with, in my opinion. Engines cannot help with this chess variant, so players will have to use their own brains all the time. Chess games will last longer than standard games with a similar argument to pauper variation of carrom board played game in which players will reintroduce their pieces till they become pauper. In crazyhouse chess variant, players will reintroduce captured pieces of their opponent by changing their colour till they have no more pieces to reintroduce with. Rich becomes richer and poor becomes poorer. This chess variant can take twists and turns all the time and fate of the game changes all the time with opponent captured pieces reintroduced after changing colours at the most possible unpleasant locations.
   More number of legal moves available each time. Standard checkmates can be blocked with captured pieces of opponent till the checkmating piece comes adjacent to opponent's king square. I am not sure if whether the result is always decisive and then winning for either player - I am not sure if whether draws will be possible after all, at all in this chess variant.
5. Atomic: If a piece is captured, then all surrounding pieces including the capturing piece will be destroyed. So, a king is not allowed to capture because it will also be exploded by the capture. Any surrounding pawns during a capture is not destroyed at all.
   In my opinion, this chess variant is not very interesting to play with, because it does not last more than about 15 moves up on average scale and if a player is careless, he is doomed. Enemy pieces should not be allowed into entering with home territory at all, always be blocked by using pawns. I am not sure if whether this chess variant is being a win for the first player. But again over here by, engines cannot help with this chess variant, so players will have to use their own brains all the time. Chess is a psychological game, so with perfect strategy and tactics, it is always likely a draw. New checkmating configurations will be made possible with this chess variant which ever will not be a checkmating configuration in the standard chess variant.
6. King of the hill: Who ever first gets their king to the center of the board or checkmates their opponent first wins the game. Unless one player gets checkmated, games of this chess variant should last for shorter period of time than the standard chess variant. It is not a good habit in developing king at first as like many of chess opponents whom ever I played at lichess.org web site page did so with. They will be surrounded by using all the opponent's minor pieces or even get checkmated if whether the chess player is being careless enough. Engine analysis of this chess variant can get deviated from the standard chess variant, but for all chess variants available to be played up on lichess.org web site page, an engine seems to be appearing over there by.
   For the vote chess game 3 of 'The Evil King and his minions' versus 'Morphy's Minions', you used lichess.org web site page just simply because I had mentioned about that web site page which is being mentioned about in the 'Our favourite variant of chess' thread?
7. Three check: Who ever first gives three checks to the opponent or checkmates their opponent first wins the game. Unless one player gets checkmated, games of this chess variant should last for shorter period of time than the standard chess variant. Lichess.org web site page defines three overall checks from the beginning of the game but you may consider with three consecutive checks if you would want to play with. Three checks can be given tactically and then strategically losing a player's chess pieces! Engine analysis of this chess variant can get deviated from the standard chess variant.
   Check. Why ever is it being called as - known as so? Ever. Check the threats to the king this turn. If you don't, I will capture your king during next turn.

8. Horde: 36 pawns versus standard chess variant pieces. Starting from this following board position. Pawns in the second rank are being allowed to move on with two squares forward. Not sure about the pawns in the first rank. Games of this chess variant should last for longer period of time than the standard chess variant. Engines cannot help with this chess variant, so players will have to use their own brains all the time.
   
   I have played only a very few games of this chess variant in order to discuss this type of thing in the detail, but any way they are being under half way played of game, during period of time.
   In the lichess.org web site page, every chess variant available to be played up on over there by, seems to be appearing having got with an icon!
9. Racing Kings: Starting from this following board position, who ever first takes their king to the eighth rank, wins the game. Giving checks against the opponent's king is not being allowed at all in this chess variant. Because white colour chess pieces of this variant starts game play immediately followed by using black colour chess pieces of this variant, so if black finishes race immediately after on wards to that of white, then it is considered with as like a draw, which is being the definite decisive strategy and then tactic involved in this variant of chess in the white and then black colour pieces of chess. Played of game, during period of time.
   
   This chess variant does not last more than about 20 moves up on average scale. Engines cannot help with this chess variant, so players will have to use their own brains all the time. Played of game, during period of time.

Also in this chess variant, if whether you block a potential check with a heavy piece (giving direct checks in this chess variant are not being allowed), then make sure that moving your own king after on wards does not pin the piece, or you will lose that chess piece for free which is being variant of chess piece to play with. Or move your king in to the such a way so that, such that removing your own check blocking heavy piece with some opponent's enemy any piece will always potentially result in to the check, always potentially. Giving direct checks in this chess variant are not being allowed.

Or you can always mix with any two or further more of the chess variants.
Or you might always consider with my own different ideas variants of chess. They all lack with a sound starting position. So, you may need to come up with some of the starting positions ideas ever. Ever.

Hostage chess is a variant of chess in which a player can reintroduce their own chess pieces again into the game rather than instead of captured opponent's pieces reintroduction after on wards changing with their own colour.    The ranks can be named as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 0.

Personally I would quite like us to play against a decently weak chess engine(i.e. beatable).
My dad has been writing one for a few years that isn't too strong. It should be beatable as long as we don't give it too long time controls. He would be quite interested I think if we could come up with some weaknesses that he can fix.

There are also 3D chess and Trichess, I had once downloaded Trichess Android application from the Google Play Store three years ago and then tried it out. I do not remember correctly, but there was trouble playing Trichess which is likely to be a three player triangular board variant of chess. It was either because application hanged too much or it was difficult in playing pieces and then placing pieces with 3D or three player triangular board variant of chess or application exited on its own or application was not starting or application was too slow or I did not understand the rules properly or strategy and then tactics was being perfectly tricky enough or application was too much space consuming enough or the rules were significantly different enough from the standard variant of chess.

Games such as those like Tic Tac Toe, Checkers, Tetris besides that of Chess can also be tried with in in to the three dimensional board. D in 3D stands for dimension?

I am guessing that name of Crazyhouse variant of chess engine you mention is being Sjeng. Correct or not? After searching through out Google engine by using on line.

Computers are strong tactically, yes - but not strategically. Computers may be likely making only major errors strategically occasionally and then periodically.
