GIMPS Board January 2019 meeting

Welcome to the GIMPS Board of Directors forum. Going forward, the Board will use this forum to communicate important news.

Mersenne Research Inc. (a.k.a. GIMPS, Inc.) held its annual board meeting in January 2019. Important news from this meeting includes:

1) Ernst Mayer joins George Woltman and Luke Welsh, replacing Scott Kurowski on the Board.
2) Officers are
President & Treasurer : George Woltman
Vice President: Luke Welsh
Secretary: Ernst Mayer
3) State of California and United States IRS paperwork was not up-to-date. This has since been corrected.
4) Some past research awards had not been paid. This has since been corrected.
5) GIMPS finances were discussed. I'll go into more detail on this in another thread.

I can post a synopsis after each meeting. In the past, meetings have been rather uneventful.

Thanks for posting this info, George; never occurred to me that there must be a legal entity lurking in the background someplace that handles details like the research awards. It will be interesting to see this side of the prime number search industry.
