For new searchers I suggest not starting a new base. It can be difficult understanding the exceptions and exclusions of k's.
Mr Curtis said in his reply that I could continue with the R71 that I had previously RESERVE and he would give me a k value of R327 when it was finished.
Thanks to Mr Barnes and Mr Curtis for their help and guidance.
I will explain the progress every about a week after I start on R327.

PS.
I still have questions here, in (the "Unproven Conjectures"), "Relative Difficulty" seems to be an important indicator, so
(1) How is it calculated?
(2) Can it be used as a reference indicator when choosing a reservation?

OK I'll reserve R71 for k<=1M to n=2500 for you. I assume you have figured out how to use the starting bases script.

We generally are not a fan of very small reservations on huge-conjectured bases because the admin work can get large quickly. We can make an exception here. As long as you don't reserve k<=1M on multiple bases then it's OK. :-) If you'd like another small k-range with small tests like this I'd just suggest continuing to higher k's on R71.

Let me know details about your R327 reservation when you begin on it.

The relative difficulty is a good indicator of how much time it takes to increase the n-value of an entire base. It can be used as a guideline. I don't recall its exact calculation but it involves the number of tests remaining after a sieve to P=1T times the current test size in digits [ n * log(base) + log(k) ]. It can only be used for an entire base. For a single-k on a multi-k base like you are going to do on R327 it would be meaningless.

I will take the initiative to ask for your advice in the future.

Gary-
I thought I'd offer to share work with Grotex on R327 since my progress is rather slow on it; I'm nearing 700k on the base. I figured a new user's enthusiasm might prompt me to add cores to it to keep up the other two k's with his progress, and if the user turns out to lose interest quickly there would be little-to-no admin effort on your end.

The extent of my PM'ed comment on R71 was to say that my offer on R327 could be instead of starting R71, or after it.

The hole R71 base up to 2.5k will take around 76 days on a 3950X with 16 cores + 14 HT

It's a big one! Are you reserving it? You might get bored before it's done. :-)

I would be interested into taking a large chunk of it at some point. Or rather taking all Riesel Bases <100 to at least 10K; same with Sierpinksi later on. Excluding Bases 7 and 15 of course.
R85 should be easier, I will see how long I might need to bring it up to n=2.5K early next year.
