Default Any interest in a stand alone results_uploader

The webIO class I built for mfaktXapp can easily be built into a console app (command line app).

It would be much like Chalsall's submission spider.

Hmm, maybe. But since chalsall already has something like that(command line type) I personally don't see the need.

But that's just me though.

It would be really cool if this could run under both Windows and Linux. Much like all the other tools we use.

Any chance of that?

I tested his app once, and it worked fine for Ubuntu 11.04.

Default My skills are strictly .NET

I'm willing to do an UBUNTU installation on one of my boxes with MONO and ensure compatibility with each of my builds. Actually converting my app to another language is beyond my capacity at this time.

Is this a reasonable approach?

Not sure, you'll have to ask them. But What i think they wish for, is native support, like mono I believe.

EDIT: non-native, like wine for example.

I have no particular desire. I don't run mfaktc, and even when I did, chalsall's spider and utilities that come with the OS were sufficient for my needs. (I never did run more than one instance on a 460, so my needs weren't that great.)

My apologies.

Sorry. My humor is rarely appreciated.

Not sure it would work.

You might want to check with those willing to install the full MONO stack simply to run your app.

Suspect not many....

I installed it from the repository, so I'm not sure it could be called a stack. It has no dependencies, just the one package.
