Okay now I'm just mad. I went and got a new copy and as soon as I restarted misfit and mfaktc, the .ini file reverted to its 0.20 version literally right in front of me. When I opened it, it closed itself (I believe I saw some pop-up for exactly one frame) and when I reopened it, the add delay option was nowhere to be seen.

Do either mfaktc or misfit ever update mfaktc.ini? It sounds as if something is deleting the add delay option out of it.

Chris

Edit. Cross post with TheMawn. It sounds as if the answer to my question is yes.

I have half-figured it out. I used the speed controller that just refers to mfaktc.fast.ini, mfaktc.med.ini etc. Each one of these is a separate mfaktc.ini with different parameters which controls how aggressively it demands GPU resources. I might be an idiot but I can at least figure out that I am an idiot if I put my mind to it.

These files also need to be updated with the new options. I will get to work on that once I figure out exactly what is different between the .ini, .fast.ini, .mid.ini, etc, files.

EDIT: So far I have determined that the only difference is GPUSieveSize which is 128 on FAST and 16 on MED (I don't use slow) and 128 by default. (if that is the only difference would it not be so much easier to just alter that one parameter instead of using a whole new file?)

@ Themawn.

Just add the required value to the existing .ini. Instead of replacing them.

MISFIT never reads from or modifies mfaktx.ini

Mawn figured out SpeedController does.

I wasn't sure if the new version of mfaktc added anything else to the configuration file so I just wanted to play it safe. Anyway it looks like we're running smoothly.

I hope this doesn't come across the wrong way. But, IMO, the only way to advance is to make mistakes.
