I just rechecked. Putting misfit into an empty directory causes it to detect the missing MISFITconfig.TXT and auto-launches the configuration manager. Upon saving a configuration all required directories are created. This code has not changed in about a year.

I can still enhance it to check/create the DIRS on startup if MISFITconfig.txt exists. (which means someone tampered with a completed configuration)

As for the proxy: I'd need a lot more information before I could commit to anything.

Which is usually the case. We want to get rid of all the crap/history/logs/etc of the older runs, but don't want to go again through settings all the fetching/reporting options and passwords, which we already forgot...

So, we copy the new exe and the old config file in a new folder (scrapping everything else, including the old exe), and give it a run. We were doing this with P95, mfaktx, xxLucas, for ages, and they all work. Why Misfit should not?

Thanks a lot in advance, and sorry for bothering you and eating up your time, I know you are very busy right now and I really hate to bring this up, especially because Misfit is a genial piece of software, as other people already mentioned.

For now, just for everybody to know: you should keep the folder structure when you use the new Misfit, and only delete the files inside the folders, if you want. Or do a completely clean installation as Scot suggested (need to set preferences passwords and everything again).

I know this seems rather insignificant, but would it be possible to have MISFIT remember its screen position from shutdown to startup? For me, at least, it always starts in the center of the screen.
