And doesn't this remind you of when you were in the boat, and then later than night, you were lying, looking up at the ceiling, and the water in your head was not dissimilar from the landscape, and you think to yourself, "Why is it that the landscape is moving, but the boat is still?"

As of this morning, the *Washington* area got hit by a magnitude 3.6 earthquake. The epicenter apparently was less than 5 miles from my house. It lasted 8 seconds, and woke me up at 5am (it's a terrible curse being a light sleeper). According to local radio, the last earthquake we had here was a tiny one in 1993.
