Very sorry for your loss. A sad day indeed. Malcolm will be missed.

Malcolm always brought something to a discussion.
He graciously shared his interest in math puzzles
by presenting puzzles he collected, making them accessible to all.

What is strange here is that his sons had access to his user name and password to this forum, given that they've never participated here.

Unless Mally was ashamed of visiting this forum, I assume his
computer remembered the details as mine does.

This definitely came as a shock to me. Mfgoode has often made interesting posts on the forum, and they were definitely fun to read. I would like to offer my condolences to mfgoode and his family, and anyone else touched by this tragedy.

How old was Mally, I wonder?

And didn't he mention a paper he'd submitted that he claimed proved a conjecture(sorry for being vague, I don't remember the details) that would win him some money if correct? If the paper is deemed correct, how do you award money when the winner is dead?
