Intel Penryn should be 40 % faster than Core 2 Extreme QX6800 , said Intel at the IDF (Intel Development Forum).
Should be there for next Chritsmas.

Hehe, thanks for that. That'll teach me to shoot my mouth off before actually reading through the code to be sure.
Although, the code is quite heavy weight, so I guess that saved me a lot of time trying to find the appropriate bits to estimate where the bottlenecks might be.
