Because sometimes it is faster. I only two CPUs, but on 105 M exponents, 4 workers is significantly better than 2 workers. That's why the benchmark exists. Run it with 1, 2, 3 and 6 workers, and see what has the highest throughput.

I will charge you for a month, and you do what you want for the month. You will have 52 cores, and a few hundred GB RAM to play with.

I'm not going to be doing much more GIMPS work. People like chalsall have driven me away. I will only do a little work on servers that don't cost me anything to run.

Let me finish the PRP of M168202123 first, if it turns out composite, then I'll try to negotiate for some deals.

I don't have Paypal myself, but I do use my credit card on Ebay with the Paypal security transactions. I haven't done this before, so I don't know how it'll work or not work although I prefer to be charged by the quantity of the exponents than directly by the time. All I want is to prove whether there's at least 1 hidden Mersenne Prime from M168,***,*23(around 800 survivors so far) or not.

A new PC with the AMD Threadripper 5970X and Radeon 6900 XT in it can cost up to $4,000. I don't know how to run AW Instance for the Prime testing, this is my problem. LaurV told me something like 6 M168M exponents for$10, is that the ongoing rate on AW instance? I tried to install Linux Mint 20 last time, it crashed my boot and I had to reinstall everything.

I still need some time to trial factor up more exponents to the PRP Ready status if to ask another user for an entire month. Ben Delo finished 3 M168M exponents within only 4 days and 6 hours, thus at least 28 PRP ready exponents will be required to fulfill that time consider a full month with every components run up to the maximum efficiency.

This F-PM1 was surely a fabulous hit by a new user - M168322477, would be nice if she can run the P-1 on the exponents with the trial factoring worked up to at least 2^77 such as M168448723. It was an accidental overlapping with your pet range. I am just testing an AI heuristic algorithm for manual selection. My guess is that the AI engine selected some exponents there because 6 and 8 seldom (if ever) appear as the 1st and 2nd decimal digits in the known 8-digit Mersenne primes.

One could check if the thermal paste is applied uniformly as an interface between the CPU and the cooling fan by checking the temperatures of the distinct CPU cores.

With a new CPU fan, my GPU is slightly cooler too. If I can use my current old PC for around half a year longer, it'll be ideal. The global chip shortage should come to an end by the beginning of year 2022.

I have Intel Core i7 4930K which was purchased from CyberPowerPC.com in year 2013, it didn't come with the integrated GPU features.
